  1. I just got it, between the smog machine FS and the politic b.s. All you have to do is slap an OT on
a post and say what you want. Our town refused a maritime museum, so I made my own and refused to
share it (and paid $0. taxes for $0. profit). Many antique stores closed since they DID make money
    and paid taxes.

Now I bought out antique stores shutting down and built up maritime oddities through the years. But
this is California and politics have worked against me since at least 25 years ago.

If I put an OT and FS title on a post I can sell the whole bunch and head for a Residen-sea floating
    home and live world-wide.

Next problem: selling and shipping 400+ paintings. Bah. Elect Ahhnold and tax them enough to make
them not worth keeping and throw them in a large dumpster. Problem solved!

As long as you are honest in your description of what the OT or FS is about I do not see what the
problem would be. The Internet was invented so we could all make fools of ourselves. As you may have
noted, I came to all of this just recently, but I am making up for lost time on ARBR. But I feel
right at home here, despite everyone else being liberal and crazy as bed bugs. But we conservatives
have just as much right to be foolish and crazy as anyone else. I am bringing balance to the
    newsgroup.

  3. Actually, all you OT posters are being quite rude to the rest of us. This NG was created, and most
of us subscribed to it, to discuss things related to recumbent bicycles. It's inevitable that some
OT content is going to crop up out of on topic discussions, but it is completely wrong and very rude
to use this forum to START an OT thread, or to continue ad naseum an OT thread.

And it is a further insult to tell me I don't have to read the damn things, that I can just skip
them. I should have to look for and avoid those topics. That's the reason I subscribed to recumbent
NG, not a political discussion NG. OT discussions are like SPAM that you have to opt out of, when it
should be an opt in arrangement.

Back to lurking in the hopes that there may be some topic of interest to me posted here.

It will be a cold day in hell before I would ever want to do emails with most of the jerks here. It
is only the forum (the thought that others might be reading what is written) that keep us within
bounds. Otherwise, on email, we would go completely berserk and be exploding and imploding all over
the place. It would not work.

But consider much of the chit-chat that goes on in this newsgroup that is more or less related to
recumbents but is really not of much interest to anyone other than the few who are having the
chit-chat. That also could easily be done via email, but the fact is that it would not. We all of us
like the idea of having a wider audience for our ranting and raving. Mr. Sherman has admitted that
he no longer responds to me but writes for the benefit of others who may be lurking about. I do not
do that. I hone in on the one I am writing to and hope that it will also be of interest to others.
    Who is the more honest?

Good Grief Mr. Rudeski! I can't figure this out. Do you not go to the Google website ARBR and then
scan the threads according to subject headings? If you do that you can immediately see what is OT.
It is a no brainer to skip them. There is something going on here that I do not understand. OT is
not a bit like SPAM. You do not have to do anything to avoid it. Just don't open it. I am getting
the impression that you are receiving your ARBR some other way than going to the website. Please
    enlighten.
