  1. It all happened before my eyes, too quick even. I had a morning off work and decided to ride up Kinglake for a sausage roll and a coffee....why not, its a good ride. I left home and headed over toward Diamond Creek. About 500 meters up the road i saw some other riders come out of a side street, and hammer off into the distance. I sprinted to catch on, as I was going solo, but couldnt bridge the gap. I watched the lights turn red, slowly braked while these riders sprinted to get through. One of the riders knocked down a lady trying to walk accross the road (she had a green walking man). The lady fell back and smacked her head open. I quickly pulled up to see if she was alright, but not moving and in alot of pain. Jumped on the phone to call ambulance etc....other people came over and looked after her, and re-directed traffic etc. Ambulance and Police came, and the lady was taken away.

Sad thing is, when the police asked people for statements, I was the one pointed to as the cyclist that hit the lady. All because I stopped and helped....and happened to be riding my bike. Lucky police "sort-of" believed my story and went after the 'hit and run ' riders.

So there you have it, a hit and run by a cyclist........not good for our reputation.

  2. Not good.

I find the larger the group, the more the group tend to run into the red as the lights change.

  3. I went out the st andrews way this moring so it wasnt me!!!🙁

That's really quite pathetic, bloody running like cowards.

Coming down kinglake i was overtaken on the straight section, then this 'numpty (😄) slows down to 30 kph for all the turns!!! The best part of the ride ruined🙁

Turds, hope either they get pitch flats for the next 20 years, or get their CF bike p0rn 'pride and joy' nicked. Failing that - the cops do make an arrest for hitrun. Level playing field, afterall ...

And I woke up today in such spiffing mood. Gone all grouchy now. grrrrrrrrrr 😠

  5. time/place/what jerseys they were wearing?

kudos to you for stopping. daggers to irresponsible idiots who perpetuate the carp-stereotypes of 'us'

You'll still get new wheels, and this will blow over like everything
    else.

Enjoy the wheels and ride right 🙂

Bit rough when you get the blame due to 'Proximity'!

When my youngest brother tried to stop the rottweiler from down the road eating a little old lady's poodle in the local shopping centre, he not only got bitten, but the little old lady thought he was the owner of the bigger dog and tried to beat five types of tripe out of him with her umbrella. While he was trying to get the rottweiler to spit the poodle out.

Your little brother has some ticker. Many years ago I found my own rotty with a (sadly) half eaten poodle which had happened into our back yard. There was no way known I was going to try and rescue the poodle bits until my dog was well and truly finished. All too late anyway at that stage.
