In the interests of research I purchased the National parks V6.0 CD from Guidepost (£17.95 including p&p) (www.guidepost.uk.com) Very quick service ! Instalation was straight foreward but two things to note. It checked .net version and Direct-X version both OK here. So looks like its a .NET application :-( I definately co-exists with V1 , i've both open at the moment, and imports V1 routes and data (not maps though as suspected). Initial impresion is, after 2 hours playing, I prefer V1 but that may only be because I have used it more. V6 seems slower even after I gave it more memory to play with. The bit I really don't like is the loss of NG reference and Height under cursor - it may be there somewhere but I cant find it! Plus side is I got the National parks I did not already have at 1:25000 in 1:50000 format.

Looks ok then. I ordered mine 9 days ago but haven't seen it yet. 27 BP, thanks to First Class Recorded shipping (6 BP) and VAT (4,02 BP) :-(

Do you get a dialog box at start up called Security, with no text on it or the button on it? I do, if I click the button, the app appears to start ok. -- Phil Hughes

Thanks Phil , it was simpler than that , for some reason it did not default to maximised so status bar was off screen. Did not get security box, but first time I ran it invoked the debugger in Visual Studio (IOsys error). Has worked ok since.

At first the program refused to work at all on my PPC. Missing libraries? After getting .NETcompact SP3 onto PPC, resending licence it works as an app. Its SP2 on Anquet CD. Unfortunately I have no room for the maps so can't test further. PPC is used in car as SATNAV with Pocket Copilot - All France,UK and Eire loaded.

Anquet have confirmed it was a bug when installing to a card. Fixed in ver6.0.1. -- Phil Hughes
