  1. I picked up an 18qt electric roaster at Costco for cheap (Hamilton
Beach) to use for overflow on Thanksgiving, but noticed the
instructions say it'll roast up to a 24 lb turkey.

I'd hate to risk a big bird (23lbs) in there without knowing how these
    things can cope.

I remember the solid Nescos from years back, but this is not of that
    ilk, I'm afraid.

Does anyone know anything about them? Does it get the turkey skin
brown & crispy? It is only $30, so I can easily return it or use it
for light duty, but I am curious. I have googled past posts in the
group, but got no specific mentions of this HB one.

I was wondering! LOL. I thought, hmmm, how do you get a turkey in the
toast slots until I went, DOH! Roaster! My bad. :~)

I've got to go to Costco today or tomorrow so I'd like to hear about
    this, too. -aem

And bless you for changing the subject line.

While you are there, they had a whole bunch of nifty digital cameras
on sale. I got my Chanukah present early.
