Thge latest issue of Triathlete has an editorial from a guy who lists the things he has learned getting back into the sport. Among them was to "shave everything."
For someone who has never shaved anything that wasn't required to be shaved for work, could someone enlighten me as to why shaving would/may be advisable? thanks.

I have no idea. For the swim, you'll likely be wearing a wetsuit anyway, and if you aren't and the race allows them you probably aren't fast enough that shaving will make a difference. And the main reason to shave your legs for the bike is so it's easier to clean up if you crash and get road rash. As to "shaving everything," I can't see why you'd need to shave unexposed areas unless you were trying to pay for that tri-bike by working as a stripper.

Because if your fit it looks cool when lightly oiled, which the ladies love.

Works in theory, except I have a sneaking suspicion Mark is trying to rid himself of competition by giving that advice.

Agree with theory. Pratically is different with the missus around!
