  1. So many of the guys on the team have a lot of class. When classy
    riders are motivated, they're unstoppable.

I'm really motivated for next year. All the guys are super-motivated.
We've got a good program for next year. We've been really consistent
    and really motivated.

I'm working more on souplesse. And power. The training's been
consistent. Really consistent. We're on a good program.

But most of all, we're really really motivated. And when it comes time
to reach into our bag of courage, I know all the guys, all us us, are
really motivated. We'll have that little extra that can make the
    difference. That's what it takes.

You've got to have panache, you've got to have the class, you've got
to have the legs. But nowadays, without motivation, you're nowhere.

Just talk to any baseball team trainer. They should have
some extra motivation on hand they'll be needing to unload.
The green motivation is the standard, but I hear the blue
motivation is good for extra special hard training days.

Not an issue. That's just same old [censored] [censored]. Time for some new [censored].

Actually, Ben, I'm worried about you. You're sounding a bit lifeless and flat
too. Did someone sneak decaf into your cup?

This reminds me of the sales hype a company selling pots and pans out of the
back of cars used to whip their employees into a utensil-selling frenzy.
Either that or one of Brian's church services.

More likely a good, blended, Snake Oil that has some motivation and
    panache blended into the base.
I hear the flat-earthers, and body builders are still buying the stuff
by the case as long as the pitch is good.

I hope you're not going to plagiarise brian when you do your first sermon
on the evils of doping in sport. Remember cosmo is checking how many words
your sermon and brian's posts have in common. On the other hand you should
be ok unless you're doing a french sermon.

Body builders in these parts are mostly all-natural. A buddy of mine just
set a Canadian record for powerlifting in his weight class (bench press),
clean and natural. Of course our other buddy is supplementing his training
with some testosterone thing to be a burly man.

Never assume, but in this case you would be correct. Natural buddy A is a
powerlifter. Testosterone buddy B does not compete. I was being a bit
imprecise in my use of "power lifter" for the sake of continuity.

    Hey JT
It's not really all that unusual for bodybuilders to hit a
powerlifting competition or two when they are doing a power phase.
Usually not real succesfully though, since the sports are distinctly
different in the training and my experience has been that a powerlifter
who's smaller is usually stronger than a bigger bodbuilder.
Jim, go pick up, and look at any of the mags, hell just look at the
covers and a huge percentage of what you see are ads and articles for
the newest miracle supplement, and most of the people buying the mags
will buy a lot of the supplements, no matter what.
The hardcore types will usually be taking some of those, very
publicly, but doing good stacks, while crediting the latest wonder
    supplement.
Your natural friend would be the first to tell you that 95% of them
are a waste of money. Good diet, protein powder for when you get sick
of chicken and tuna, I think L-Carnitine has helped me but couldn't
prove it, a multi-vitamin since the diet is usually so unbalanced, and
when cutting up the thermogenic/caffeine stuff seems to help some
people but I just drank more tea and added a couple of cardio sessions
    to the day.
I really liked to train in hardcore/dungeon type gyms where people
were there to get in, get it done, get out and recover they weren't
pretty and that kept the casual types out for the most part, and just
about every drug you could think of was easy to get in any of them.
Your guess as to what you were actually getting though. Today I'd have
no idea where to het the stuff, other than asking the HS football
    players I know.

That Outside magazine article someone posted recently (or was it at
another forum?) sure made Human Growth Hormone sound like something I
want to get (again - our body stops making it as we enter middle age),
    when I can afford it.

Until then, I'm all-natural, a guy who likes endurance activity but
builds muscle almost without trying. Lugging this useless upper-body
mass up mountain roads is tough. I still go to (& work at) frou-frou
gyms. The scenery beats hell out of any gym rat nest.

After reading that article, I went upstairs and announced to my wife and
daughter that HGH was the drug for me. They both looked at me like I was
    crazy.
