I have a rack on the back of my Trusty Tourer & have invested in one of the excellent RL980 rear lights. I didn't have any way of attaching said light to said bracket until my LBS let me have a bracket which allowed the uniting of the two. However, the bracket wasn't made of the strongest stuff & it broke. And the next one broke too. And now I'm a bit embarrassed to go back *again* & pinch a third one... hence this question. Anybody know where I can get one? My rack has 2 holes in the top of it, one near the front & one near the back. The bracket was attached to the rear one & looped down (hope I'm not being *too* technical).

Just go and get a smallish "L" bracket from a DIY store.

Attempted this, but where the screws on the back of the light are don't correspond with the holes in the bracket.
Drill some new holes? Or enlarge the existing ones with file?
Isn't the RL980 designed to fit onto the standard in (it seems to be with rear lamps from mainland Europe anyway) two hole mounting - ISTR mine is (my Tubus rack has such mounting points).
Were you using just one bracket? maybe you need to use two?
I've successfully fitted a similar type lamp to a rack with a couple of 'P' clips over the top back rail, but it depends on the rack if this will work. -- Chris French, Leeds
