    The Normal Foot

Normal feet have a normal-sized arch and will leave a wet footprint that has
a flare, but shows the forefoot and heel connected by a broad band. A normal
foot lands on the outside of the heel and rolls inwards slightly to absorb
shock. It's the foot of a runner who is bio mechanically efficient.

Best Shoes: STABILITY shoes with moderate control features.

    Normal Foot Type...

Description: A neutral foot has an average arch and leaves an imprint that
has a flare but shows the footprint and heel connected by a wide band.

Characteristics: A normal foot lands on the outside of the heel, then rolls
inward (pronates) slightly to absorb shock. Runners with a normal foot are
usually considered biomechanically efficient and don't require
    motion-control shoes.

    Shoe Type: Supportive Cushioning.

At 18st (250lb) you're very much on the high side of the curve w.r.t.
running shoes. But there are options out there, especially in the
    supportive/cushioning lines.
If you haven't been in running shoes much lately I recommend finding
them in a running-specific store and trying them on for fit as well as
construction type - having enough support doesn't help if your bleeding
through your socks. I only buy shoes online if it's an exact match to a
    shoe I've already worn.
As for the subject of "start jogging again" - at 18st you're putting a
lot of impact on your lower body and back, regardless of if it's solid
muscle or long-term beer storage. Rather than re-type something I wrote
before, here's a past discussion of the subject: http://tinyurl.com/8pnmb

Why wouldn't you go to a real shoe store where you can try them on?
