Yes, it's your choice. But there are people who can also be reported for
abuse. Posting that you hope someone is gassed or blown up by a london tube
bomb, talking about cutting off someone's balls, swearing, saying it's a good
thing to hit cyclists (these are all from posts in the last 2 days, BTW) is
not acceptable usage, in my book. Reporting them to their ISP is one course of
action that is effective. If you are reporting someone for behaviour that +is+
reasonable (i.e. you are wrong) the ISP should take your complaint with a pinch
of salt.

My post simply informs that IMHO replying to the thread to criticise the poster
(and in this case people are critical of the poster) is not the best way to stop
them.

A couple of points:

* when you reply to this person, tempting as it may be, you push their
thread up the rankings. This person wants exposure. Why not just get a
decent newsreader and killfile people such as this?
