as you can see, quite a lot of it is drying out, still very weepy in the wet area. Gotta go back after the weekend when hopefully it'll have dried out and I can start some scar minimilisation tactics.
I don't mind having a scar, it'll match the others, but I'd prefer it to be as subtle as possible.
Arnica and Zinc/copper have been my friends so far.
I had a similar experience a couple of years ago. Had a cycling accident while on holiday with friends in France and had to go to local casualty. The nurse there was very cute too. lol
Have to say that the French hospital was much better than any NHS ones I've been to over here. Broke my ankle earlier that same year and I had to wait over two hours to be seen.

I had to have four stitches and have some "ugly" scars there now. After I got back to England and had the stitches removed my arm was still a bit "weepy" too, then out popped a piece of gravel!

Like you I don't mind having scars. Every scar tells a story!

Probably not. Or rather onlyif accompanied by knee, ankle and body protectors. A downhiller I am not and don't want to be - I'm jsut a MTB'er that goes down hills like any other.
Remember also, that in this instance, I only biffed to avoid causing more damage to my ride partner!

It is now about a year sice I came off, brief visit to Hospital, X-rays & sent home after mopping up, However my knee is still not healed up. It re-opens for the silliest reasons - 1) using my knee to steady a post while I drove a nail into it (the post, that is) 2) glancing blow from a Land Rover door (while getting into passenger seat) 3) was just last week and I've already forgotten the details but am still wearing a plaster on it - some sort of glancing blow that one would not normally notice.
