  1. Mr Cohen!

I found a bed that you could easily store your guns in it and both you and
the guns would be secure! Also safe from hurricanes, earthquakes and angry
mobs! Maybe you could talk them inio putting in a couple gun ports for you.
Maybe a doggie door as well.

And you can install a complete home entertainment system as well.

    Oh.

Exactly. What good is it without the Goa'uld sarcophagus feature?

They can't provide that, but for a small additional fee, they'll
include a small quantity of dirt from Transylvania.

    Oh.
    My.
    God.

I went back and looked at that website. Apparently the AVERAGE cost of
these ultra security beds is $160,000!! I wonder how much the kevlar
    bedspread is?

I think they are selling it as an alternative to a safe room. In case of a
robbery or an extreme meterological event, you curl up in your fallout
shelter bed with a teddy bear? It does seem a little bizzare. I mean, if
there was something out there that could really harm you, would you feel
safe in a box not much bigger than a coffin?

I am not that much up on building costs, but it seems that you could build a
safe room much cheaper (and far more secure) than this fortress bed. Hell,
with a little scrounging and some hired labor, you could probably build
yourself some kind of bank vault like structure for $160,000.

    Indeed... ;-)

I'd get claustrophobia being stuck in something that small.

And how the hell are you supposed to go to the bathroom?????

A good start to a safe room is a large concrete septic tank.
And they are not horribly expensive!

It mentions something about a communications system so I guess it
really only has to last, in the case of an intruder, until the cops
can arrive. In the case of a natural disaster it does sound pretty
secure but you'll have to be satisfied with CoffinLife, yo.
