Squat and DeadLift

  1. Suppose somebody squats only up to 90 degrees angle (thighs to calves). And
    he also exercises with bent leg DeadLift. During DL, I notice that he has
    to bent his knees also to about 90 degrees, in order to grab the bar.

    My question is:
    What is the benefit he gets from Squat? Why not just do Dead Lift, since it
    exercises more muscles and is easier to master?
