Well, it sounds like a start, at least.

I think I read the employer got 3 years, but I couldn't see how much
the driver got. I think the driver was said to have had mild learnging
difficulties, but clearly not enough to prevent him from passing the
driving test.

RIP to the poor bloke killed.

I wonder if a company director driving a BMW/Merc who did the same
thing would have gotten the same sentence.

However, I have zero sympathy for the bloke's boss:

"His boss, Brian Alcock, 37, of Ashbourne, who encouraged drivers to
work extra hours, was also jailed."

"Alcock, of Park Avenue, was jailed for three years after admitting
manslaughter."

"An investigation by police led to a further 17 of Alcock's drivers
being prosecuted for illegal driving."

Yes, I think overall they got it right jailing the driver, but 3 years
is a bit light for the operator. Five or more would be better,
certainly more than the driver, since he had caused many offences to
be committed. He should also have his O licence permanently revoked.
