  1. Came across this little blog where someone gives props out to someone
else named, Magilla Gorilla, and then says what his name is. Could it
be our own banana loving monkey? See for yourself:

Maybe it was that "Anti Ass-Hatchet" lover Johnny NoCom??

i notice from that (very weird) site that john verheul and jim verheul
have similar but differently amusing nicknames (vertool versus verfool).

not so quick - there was a local crit rider in my area we called
Magilla Gorilla in the late 90's, he was all muscle, like a
    bodybuilder,
    it's a common nickname.

Skateboard or recumbent? When he gets back we gotta
pin him down on this one. Also, what's with the goddamn
suspenders? Somebody tell him about bib shorts, already.

    Mmmm, banana chamois cream...

And if he did wear bibs (and, ahem, a shirt), he'd wear the bibs on the
    outside.

Can't be. He says what his name is and then gives out props to someone
    else. Your theory doesn't work.

My fodder-finding club-mate, who, since he doesn't participate here,
doesn't need to be named. Lucky him.

  13. Yeah, just a weird occurrence maybe? I found it interesting of course.
Don't know how I came across that site. Weird place for bent riders
though. Sounds like a JohnnyNoCom site.

  14. Heather,
I can't speak for John, but I have been called the former as well ;-)

Magilla Gorilla, Tom Swift, Billy Goat... are all Kevin Kuehl. He is a
DF and bent rider. He has done pretty well in some brevets on the bent. His
son is the skateboarder I think, but whose isn't. I rode with him once, in
Wisconsin. Although strong, especially on climbs, he is very hard to ride
with. He cannot pedal constantly to save his life. While half sociable on
the bike, once he gets off work at 2am, has a beer, and starts typing, all
    bets are off.

The author of the blog mentioned here is rumorred to be Seth Jayson, a
writer for Motley Fool I think. He, or Ed Gin, or Alan Arial are, seperately
or not, Johnny Nocom. It doesn't not matter which one it is to me. I have
come to treat this holy trinity as equivalent. They have other aliases, and
are really good at deleting stupid content they have posted in the past.
There may even be a few others. Yes, monkeys all.

So that you may put faces, dorky outfits, and dumb looks, with the names:
    http://www.wisil.recumbents.com/wisil/misc/March04SpringClassicRide.htm

Not all bent riders are.... um.....well, you pick a word. A third of the
guys in this pic I consider to be friends, and great to ride/race with.

Yes, I do own a Velokraft Nocom lowracer (prototype #2 for me), and several
"highracers" from Bacchetta. This is what happens when you back gets so bad
that you can't ride DFs anymore, but you still want to ride and stay fit.
Then you accidentally ride a recumbent exercise bike while recovering from a
car wreck. The speed is just a bonus.

Dana is a buddy of mine with a great recumbent shop and we do put on races
    on occassion. Shameless plug: http://bentupcycles.com/site/intro.cfm

    HTH,
    JV .....yes, the other one.

    Dumbass -

    Oh. My. God.

My heart bleeds for the honor of John Verheul.

Does he have a poster of Haven on the wall of his bedroom
back at mom's? That would seal it.

in case he didn't tell you, the other jv sent me email earlier defending
your "honor" (told me about your back trouble, although even if your
back was fine, i'm not someone who would care if you wanted to ride a
bent instead of a df.) have to say though, i did see some pictures a few
months ago of you racing your bent a and i wondered how john was taking
it or if you were keeping it a secret from him, lol...

your post made me laugh, thanks 😉

Forget it. No one who rides a 'bent has anything like "honor" unless that
has something to do with a really long chain hitting you in the butt every
    time you shift.

  19. Magilla and his other alias Tom Swift is also Johnny NoCom.
This is his latest blog; http://johnnynocom.blogspot.com/
He is also involved with this blog: http://highracers.blogspot.com/

All the information the Jim Verhuel posted in this thread is BS. Jim Verhuel never has his facts correct and he has no proof of his claims about Johnny NoCom or people he claims to be Johnny whatever or the holy trinity whatever.

Verhuel should work on his cycling ability instead of sitting on his rump at a computer posting lies.
