Maybe you should ask them to forward your details to her, so she can
get in touch if she wants to. Passing on a woman's contact details
over the internet to a stranger isn't really a very good idea.

I think he is more interested in getting a decent meal than in ravishing
the chef! We have found a great pub for meals, with a keen chef
and a good landlord, and I asked the chef to let us know where he was
going if he ever decided to leave. ;-)

Yes, that's the way I read it as well. Thing is though, if the lady
were to get in touch that would provide a good enough opportunity for
the OP to say why he'd been asking after her. It might sound a bit
'off', going into a pub and asking what they'd done with their former
    chef...

Very probably, but what if there's more to it than that? I'd hope that
people wouldn't take a chance with my own contact details, when it's
so easy to do it the safe way.

My spies tell me that Tracy, who used to be chef at the Waltzing
Weasel, is now at the Packhorse Inn in Hayfield (01663 740074).

That was always a good bet for a meal, anyway, as is their 'sister'
pub/restaurant, the Hanging Gate, near Whaley Bridge.

They used to be owned by the same people, but I'm not sure whether that
    is still the case.

    Thanks for the reply...
I tried the Packhorse but it was nowhere near the Weasel for food or
service although quite a bit cheaper...
Will continue with the search !
