Just finished reading Lance Armstrong - It's not about the bike. A really good read, started Saturday finished today.
If you haven't read it because you're not into road racing, or you think you know the story or worry it's all about the TdF, then I heartily recommend it, because it's not.
I like the style it's written in, and ocassionally found myself chuckle out loud - a rarity in books these days.

Then follow that up with "The escape artist" by Matt Seaton Which leads onto 'Before I say goodbye" By Ruth Picardie

Funny that. I've recently finished that book too - maybe just over a week ago. It was an excellent book and very inspiring for cycling and for life. It was one of only a handful of books that didn't need "breaking in". I often need time to "get into" a book but not this time.
Am now reading "French Revolutions - cycling the Tour de France" (Tim Moore), but finding it a bit slower going.

I read it when it came out; it was a very good read, quite inspiring in some ways. I shall have to read again soon.
I'll second that. I bought the hardbacked American edition while I was in the US before it was released over here though it had been released in the UK before I made time to read it. It made me think about suffering and gave me courage in the event of me discoverying I have cancer.
Armstrong has another book coming out 'this Fall' entitled 'Every Second Counts', there are some extracts on www.lancearmstrong.com

It sold that badly? :-(
Possibly, but probably not, Amazon have for about a quid or so less than RRP, this is a private seller using Amazon - a bit like Ebay but fixed prices....
One from last year is "Cat" by Freya North. This is a humorous novel about a female journalist covering the TdF for the first time. It is hardly a work of serious literature, but it is fun to try to spot the real identities of some of the thinly-disguised characters.
