  1. D spent a few days at a conference in Houston, returning tonight in
    time for a late dinner.

    I cooked for her.

    We had mashed cauliflower with roasted garlic, chicken stock (much
    reduced), olives and grated parmesan cheese.

    We had broccoli slaw with a lemon, creole mustard, and olive oil
    dressing. Capers, too.

    We had skirt steak with a fresh basil, lemon juice and anchovy rub. I
    grilled it rare and sliced it thin and dolloped a little basil pesto
    on the slices.
