He always looks nervous on camera. Need I mention the Bristol-Meyers Squibb ads again?
He needs to ad lib and fart around like he did on the Lance Chronicles to make watching him on TV worthwhile. Or racing a bike. I guess he's ok to watch when he rides a bike.

It's all about control.
I watched Lance for a few minutes on SNL, but it seemed boring.....I
guess SNL is in another slump. But then again Lance is not a
enertainer........

I agree, when he was screwing around on Lance Chronicles, it was most
interesting. The coffee riff during Tour De Georgia, as well as the
whole shammy cream bit. But those are kind of 'biker' only jokes too.

being interviwed or just talking "off the cuff" and being yourself is
pretty easy.
reciting lines in front of the camera (ie "acting"😉 is surprisingly
hard. i suppose some people are "naturals", but in my experience trying
to not mess up lines totally overwhelmed anything else in my mind and
the result was totally wooden.
doing it live must be even harder.
Anyone know if they're going to put out the Lance Chronicles on DVD?
The only funny bit was the mid-week promo where Lance said he be
hosting SNL, so long as he passed his blood tests for Perf enhancing
drugs. Sheryl chimed in and said they'd probably prefer that he DO
take performance enhancing drugs. The show was a dud tho.
The monologue bit about cycling being a team sport was pretty good, and
was probably funnier for those who don't really "get" the sport. Also
great that the guy talking was supposed to be George.

Would have better if George (and team) would have been there...

They're real bicycle racers still.
I totally agree with you, but was more making this comment on how much
I enjoyed those segments. It's more interesting to see how Lance (and
others) behave in their day to day life than when they're performing on
TV. Remember the whole "Up Dog" joke during Lance Chronicles? I hope
that comes out on DVD sometime. But back to what you were saying, it's
definitely easier to "be yourself" while screwing around on camera than
when you actually have to deliver lines.
