We started getting the feeder bands on the western side of the storm this morining at about 8. We are having drizzle with periods of heavy,steady rain but no wind yet. I walked down to the grocery store to get all the stuff necessary for chili and that's what we are having tonight - chili, corn muffins, and whatever we rumage around and decide to do for desert. I may go back and get some apples and do baked apples in the microwave! The SO and the kids are down at the lake working on the sailboat(getting it ready to handle the onslaught of wind and rain) so they will be cold, wet, and tired when they get back
The weather is going to be nasty and wet for quite a while. The storm center will be directly over us in central Honduras by Tuesday. So...that means Monday and Tuesday I will be working in dismally damp, cold classrooms. The thought already chills me to the bone. The coffee pot is going to school Monday so the teachers that share rooms with me can heat hot water for tea, instant cocoa, cup or soup, etc. Our cafeteria is totally outside, protected only by roofed areas over the picnic tables. UGH.
The only upside is this one of the few times of the year I actually get to wear my autumn and winter weight clothing!

Good news for us...the storm took a hard left and will go through Nicaragua, leaving us pretty much untouched.
