This was neat today. I went for a local loop on High Drive Bluff, which is a series of local trails built into a hillside, below a line of view homes. It's a nice little local, but what was cool today is that some guy was out on his deck practicing his saxophone for a few hours while I was riding. The trails parallel the bluff and loops around, so you would come into the music, have music for a while, then you'd lose it until you looped back around back into the music. rant - it's a major dog walking area, and the first 50 yards of the trail just reek of dog [censored].

http://www.specialtyoutdoors.com/misc/bluff3.jpg Google is my friend. Here's the view looking at the bluff sort of NE, between the golf course and the houses. You can see how trails would run longwise right under the houses - a lot of folks commute on this trail. It's a conservation area.

Sounds like the West Bench Trail on the Grand Mesa. I can see a suburban trail reeking, but when the skunk cabbage smells extra skunky, it's just wrong.

If I hadn't had to pick up more than a few groceries, I would have ridden over there, it's only 3 miles or so. But a gallon of milk, produce, some cans, other stuff don't do well with a camel back.

Cool. Once I was riding at Winter Park and Bare Naked Ladies were playing an outdoor show that we could hear way up the mountain. That was kind of fun.

I've ridden up the Bear Creek trail in Telluride during the jazz festival and also during a chamber music festival (taking place in the town park). Beats the heck out of head phones.....

Well, I'm _pretty_ sure. I had several witnesses with me too. Of course we mostly only heard them.
