  1. Hi Everyone
Is it possible to get just the Tide Tables for UK/Europe and not the
complete Mapsource Marine guides as I do not sail but am interested in tide
    times for bird watching.
    Garmin MAP76CS
    Thanks

Have a quick google. As a sailor, I know they do tables for Chichester
Harbour Entrance (freely available in all the local pubs!) so a google
for "chichester entrance tide table" gave me
    http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/coast/data/20051019/0068_20051019.shtml

Go up a page or two and you get the tide tables for the next seven
days for the whole of the UK.

Of course what Brian would like is the tides available from your GPS
as they are for US waters. However the UK tide tables and the harmonic
constants they are derived from are copyright the UK Hydrographic
Office and they have the same attitude to the OS when it comes to
    licencing the data.

Probably would be, but not free and I see no reason to pay.

Nothing, except the free predictions are only for the week ahead.

    Graham,

if you've got a palm PDA, you could always look at using Tide Tool

    http://www.toolworks.com/bilofsky/tidetool/

or if you are unix/linux/Mac OSX, you could always look at the original
program that Tide Tool was derived from, whcih can be found at

    http://www.flaterco.com/xtide/.

This page also lists various other operating systems that it has been
ported to, but I cannot comment on how 'live' the websites are.
