As Danny posted in another thread, she's been BT'd and her brand new
broadband conversion has turned out to be rather narrowband.

I noticed that a few weeks ago; acf has had a bit of a pasting by some
C+'ers recently, I have re-joined it as there seems to be some cycling
content ATM.

I got mine to work eventually, not quite sure how!

Uninstalled all BT's mouldy software and it still worked!

CD wouldn't run at all on David's laptop, but we got BB to work anyway.

Have now reinstalled BT's mouldy software and all works.

I suppose I really should exchange emails to see if my settings would
work with her set-up.

I have been on BT-Yahoo BB since 30/9/05...

Well, BT say that a 'system error' has meant they have 4500, yes, four
and a half thousand orders for broadband messed up and no, as there is
only one team looking at the problem, I can't have a date when I can
have broadband... so, they've taken away my ISDN line, and I can only
get online via a different computer with limited Interent access on
this aged AOL account..

BAH!

think BT were a little slow with activation; they only sent the email
confirming activation at 22.30 on my activation date.

Many ADSL providers also supply backup dial-up for use when the ADSL is
down. This can be very useful during the already lengthy provisioning
period. Zen certainly allow it, though I suspect BT Openwoe are likely to
be less customer-focussed from previous experience with their dismal dial-up
offering.
