Has anybody got any recommendations for 'not-to-be-missed' places in Aragon?
Going for a short trip (5 days) next week and hope to do some walking, but
nothing too strenuous or extreme, and want to see some small, quiet, ancient
towns etc, starting out from Zaragoza. Is a car essential? (not a carefree
continental driver, me!) or is public transport good enough to get access to
the smaller towns in the foothills of the Pyrenees? Thanks if anyone can
offer any pointers.

Don't know about public transport, but if you can get to Torla (for
the Ordesa Canyon) or Bielsa (for the Circo de Pineta), you'll find
plenty to do and see, and accommodation at this time of year won't be
a problem. If time permits, walk from one to the other - though some
of it qualifies as "strenuous".Once you're out of Zaragoza, the roads are quiet by UK standards, and
well maintained.--
