Well, I think that we often tend to be our own worst
    critics.

    True.

That said, I feel GREAT and (if you don't look too
    closely) I look
    FABULOUS ;-)

    I don't know...it's been a LONG time since you've updated
your photos. (subtle, huh?) Seriously, I suspect how you
feel, and how you feel about yourself, counts for much.
You've done wonderfully, keep it up. Or down as the case
    may be.

Thanks JJ! Yes a new photo is coming soon (HONEST). Now that the
crisis of having to move has passed, I can relax a little and focus on
    other things.

I think we're all on some kind of roll here; I started induction Sun
afternoon and I'm down 5lbs as of today (Fri 10/14).

Good job, Bmcky -- that's good feedback letting you know you are doing
    it right!

but at the age of 50, my
skin simply isn't going to snap back like it has in the past :-(

Huge congratulations to you, Saffire, for sticking to it and getting down to
    a hairsbreadth of goal.

    Thank you!

    Quoted message said:

Good news... based on my experience, even in your 50's the skin will
gradually "snap back". It definitely takes longer than when you are in your
20's or 30's, though. But gradually... gradually... one day you all of a
sudden notice things are looking a lot better. So hang in there on that,
    too.

Still, when I lost 70 pounds a couple of years ago I was really depressed at
how saggy my skin was - arms, legs, even my face to some extent. But
gradually it really improved, and I'm closer to 60 than 50. So there is
    hope.

Thank you for that! It's good to hear it from someone who has
experienced it. I did notice a SLIGHT improvement in my upper thighs
from a couple of months ago, and I haven't been exercising regularly for
a while, so maybe now that I can attend to that it will help.

It's really a mixed bag of emotions in the vanity department -- it's
like buying a beautiful new dress that got blueberry stains on it while
bringing it in from the car :-(

I've always assumed you were 30ish, Hannah! 🙂

Funny how one's writings can give off false impressions.....or, one's
    readings and interpretations 🙂

Yeah, it's one of the trickier things about usenet. IRL people are typically
surprised if they find out my age, even since I let my hair go gray. Except
for about a year after I first lost a bunch of weight - back then then I was
really *shocked* to be offered senior benefits at places like the department
store. LOL. That has stopped happening, as I mentioned things really did
firm up a lot. Of course it will inevitably start up again at some point,
    as time marches on.
