Anyone else have any trouble with Nightpro lighting systems? I have the
Kamikaze dual beam set that no longer charges properly, less than one year
use. I have contacted the company via email, with no response; I guess I
will have to telephone them. Anyone have any experience in dealing with
this company? How are they for customer service?

Lots of good battery information here:
http://www.thomas-distributing.com/maha-educate-batteries.htm
Q: How many times can I recharge my batteries?
The number of times you can recharge your batteries will
depend on the operating parameters, such as drain rate,
battery care, etc. In general, under desirable conditions,
NiMH batteries can last up to 500 recharges. In absolute
best conditions, NiMH batteries can last up to 1000
recharges.Even given daily charging, I would expect NiMH batteries
to last more than a year. But perhaps there's something
different or "undesirable" about the charging or use that
makes the batteries shorter lived in this bike lighting application. On the other hand, it could be the charger...
If the lighting system manufacturer deems the problem not
covered by warranty, the OP should be able to replace the
battery pack and/or charger with off-the-shell parts even if
it requires a small amount of rewiring and soldering. At the same link above are a number of batteries and chargers.
