I started on a low carb diet about 3 months ago. I've finally plucked
up the courage to stand on a set of bathroom scales.
Shortly before I started I think I weighed around 260lb (based on a
"weigh-in" at my doctor's surgery). I now weigh 248lb.
The sort of target weight I have in mind is around 200lb (6'2" tall and
very solidly built) although obviously I'll review that if (when) I get
there.
I'm a little disappointed, but (as mentioned in previous posts) I think
alcohol is my main enemy at the moment. But even so, 12lb lost in 3
months in someone my size - is that good, bad or indifferent?
(it's based on the assumption that both my scales and the doctor's are
both accurate, or at least inaccurate to the same extent - and that's a
hard one to justify, but I do know that the scales I have bought are
good quality which goes some way towards reassuring me).
