Is the *temperature* fluctuating or not? That is the primary reason it should be changing. Is this on a road/mountain/track bike? Have you calibrated it recently?

Yah the tempature has been changing alot so i dont understand. It is brand new with less than 500k , road bike

You might want to shoot an email to SRM, they sometimes take a few days to respond, but they've answered all of my questions.

It's possible that it was flucuating more before because some of the bolts weren't fully torqued/seated. Now that you've ridden it a bit, that effect may have disappeared, and what you're seeing now is just the temperature variation (although a change of only 1 Hz is smaller than expected). In any case, what does your PowerControl itself suggest as a value for the zero offset? (Found in the middle above the "Pro" button on a PCIV...not sure on a PCV.) I don't know exactly how the computer comes up with this value (perhaps by searching for the minimum in a file?), but comparing that to the manually set number might tell you something.

The wattage seems to be about right so mabey it is just in my head, as you said it may have been more inconsistant before since the bolts and everything werent settled. Just wondering though if the tempature changes say 5 degress how much would the offset change. 1 seems pretty small but would 10 be really off?
