Arrived in Torridon on Thursday night and stayed in the increasingly luxurious Ling hut, now with electric lighting! Did Ben Alligin on Friday. Got the two Munros, but did not risk the horns as the wind was gusting so strongly all members of the party were blown over at one time or another. Bright sunny day though, great views. Rest of club arrived later at night in the pouring rain. However most of Saturday was lovely and we had members on Ben Eighe, Chin Dearg and Slioch. On summit of latter there was a short but very heavy snowfall, my first for this autumn. On our return, just as we left the corrie my mate slipped and "twisted" his ankle and the walk back along the loch and riverside to Incherill car park took over three hours. He did well though as his ankle was actually broken. Now sporting nice "stookie". Some people will do anything to avoid a wet day on the hill. Sunday understanably saw us travelling home rather than doing Liathach.

Not yet, although after two days on the hill a hot shower would have been welcomed. Electric lights, hot water from a geyser and gas cooking very comfortable though. Will be back there in March, all being well, in the hope of a winter traverse of Liathach.
