sign is still there? <g>

Nope, no there's no sign right at that spot. But it's supposed to be a
high security point by design -- entrance to the piers and all that, post-
9/11 etc. It's very common to see soldiers, police, or both with automatic
weapons directing traffic, just not at that exact moment. Driver must have
slipped in through the design flaw!

Don't believe everything you hear about "post 9/11 high security". If
it was *truly* high security those police and soldiers would be
stopping and identifying everyone that was accessing the area. Even
cyclists heading for a bike path. <g>

Don't get me started on cell phones. It's illegal here, but I never see
it enforced. I see cops driving with cell phones. I wish they would just
stop. I wish pedestrians would stop being on cell phones while they're
crossing against a light. I especially wish people would stop talking on
cell phones while they're having sex. Just stop, that's enough talking
already.
