Hi folks. Could someone please point me in the right direction for a website, of whose name and URL I have lost? I believe it is a foriegn site which deals in cycle parts etc. On it , it has the names of the various parts, weight and price (usually given out in €). I was recommended this site by someone on here some time ago but have lost it in my time of need! I am building my own bike this time and need to know the weight of various parts etc. Weight being the key word!
Just out of curiosity, I have been told that a rim brake setup weighs a lot less than a disc specific setup, is this correct?.........Gordon.

A bit less, certainly. Precisely how much less depends on the particular components used. However, I'd be surprised if you could find any V brake - even the very cheapest and nastiest - which was as heavy as the lightest disk brakes.

Rim brakes will be lighter, probably a few hundred grams less than lightweight disc brakes.
Thanx folks!!!
Don't worry, I have it on good authority that it weighs no more in the slightest if you type a 'ks' at the end of 'thanks' than if you inexplicably type an 'x' instead. You'll also be pleased to know that your surplus exclamation marks were not wasted, as they'll be reclaimed, sent to Spain and turned upside down, where they can be usefully recycled, as there is a shortage there due to historical doubling up of punctuation.
