Could be lot's of things.....
Morning Sickness (probably not at 74 yrs old), gall bladder disease, shock,
mini stroke, heat exhaustion or heat stroke, dehydration, Meniere's Disease,
brain tumor
Make a log of the time of day this happens to her, had she just eaten?,
her sleeping patterns, where she was, what she was doing,
were there any warning signs?, how did she feel afterwards.
Check her heart rate when she has an episode.
My sense is the incontinence happens as a side affect of the fainting,
rather than a symptom.
She really needs to be evaluated by a doctor, especially if this is
recurrent. Please keep us updated.

Ditto...all the way to the doctor.

A doctor is treating her for epilepsy but we don't know if this is a likely
condition to
suddenly appear in old age.

kinda sounds like her heart to me (not an MD) it is true that bladder
incontinence (as well as bowel in some cases) can occur in some people as
they age, sometimes from disease, sometimes from loss of muscle tone.
It's all of the symptoms happening together that might be a cause for some
serious concern.
I'd get her to the doctor asap, something isn't right.
