On another topic......what ratios are the guys who have been on the FR rides
running?? Mine is 44/15 that I work out to be 79.2 inches using 27 inches
for the 700c wheels (not sure if this is right or not?). I'm pretty happy
with the gearing and I am interested to see if my ratio is high, low, or
average compared to some of the other guys running them.

Ride On (hopefully without getting bucked off!!)

The range on the fixed ride has been 65 to 74 inches.

Personally I have a 69" 46/18.

Everyone uses 27 despite the fact that they are on 700c.

79 sounds like hard work starting, I've ridden track in the range 84 to 96 but wouldn't use that on the road.

I'm packing a measly 70.2 G\I (39/15) on my newly finished SS. But
she's happy... The SS that is :P I did start with (39/16) which I found
great for hills but too spinny on the flats.

I started with 44/18 but soon changed to 43/16, which is about 72
inches. That's just about perfect for me at the moment. Although it's a
little bit short to crack the 60km/h mark. The best I've managed so far
is 58.4km/h @ ~170rpm 🙂 Just need to unhook the legs a fraction more.

Not that I condone mixing imperial and metric, but 700c is close enough
to 26.8 inches.
