she thinks we get all the vitamins and minerals we need if we eat well

Vitamin D in northern latitudes? B12 in older people?

Yes. My current diet has 7 times the 2.4 ug/day RDA of B12, and
more than the 10 ug/day cholecalciferol recommended for people my
age. (I'm just 'older' not 'aged'!) Sun exposure in addition.
(True, Ottawa's latitude 45 is well south of Helsinki. But, it's
north of most members of this group.)

The absorption of B12 deteriorates after 50 years and many older people are
deficient because they do not absorbe enough B12 from the diet. There is
clearly a need for B12 supplementation in older people.

The RDAs for vitamin D are far from being optimal. If there is not enough
sun exposure it is almost impossible to get ideal amount of vitamin D from
the diet. Just over 10 µgs a day is not enough.

Are you having problems with despammed? Nothing's coming in for me,
and I can't raise the server. Sorry for posting this online, but you
wouldn't get it if I sent it privately, if you are having the same
    problem I am.

    Hi S.

No, I have not noticed any problems. However, it is not the e-mail address
that I use on a daily bases so I can't know it for sure.

    Thanks.

I'll wait another week or so and if I still can't raise Michael, I'll
have to drop it. I don't want to do that though, it's a good service.
    When it's there!!

It has happened several times before but I was always able to raise
him. He told me then most of his clients are in northern Europe, and
the (whatever) for N.A. had gone awol.

    Maybe the same problem.

    Hi Zee,

    I'm not Juhana, but I'm using two despammed email-accounts. I haven't
received any email to these accounts after 16.9.2005 and despammed webserver
is not responding. I'm beginning to fear that this is the end of a beautiful
    relationship.

    Hi Matti

That's my experience exactly. I can still post but that's all. You
know, it was from seeing your addy i learned about despammed. It's a
    great little workhorse.

I checked it and the last time I have received despammed mail was on
September 19th. Today I tried to send mail to my despammed address but
failed. So, your observation is correct: despammed does not work at the
moment. I hope they can fix it somehow.

I wonder how long it will work for posting? Any suggestions for a

My experience is that it takes about ~ 1 minute to process the mail to the
forwarded email address if that is what you mean. Gmail is suggested by many
    people as a good alternative.

I meant; how long will we be able post using despammed if this is the
    end of it?

Does gmail block spam as well as despammed did?

    Others having same problem:

From the link you posted: "Gmail has pretty good built-in spam protection,
and I should be able to prevent the address from getting too flooded."
