I also have a 1973 Kawasaki H2 750. If you give me enough straightaway I
can get off it and push it around the corner and still whup your 350.

Mebbe. the H2 has run 11.2 in the standing quarter with a pretty average
driver (me).

I love the old bikes, but if I wanted performance I'd go with the new
600's or litre bikes.

Anybody who knows cycles will tell you IT IS the fastest 350 ever! It
was their prototype for the legendary yamaha roadracers. I won more
money blowing off 750's with that machine, mostly because nobody
believed it, and laughed at me. They weren't laughing afterwards.

I took mine to Laconia and was timed on the track. The old Kawasaki's
were the only machine on the road (back then) that had a sliver of a
chance, but my racing skills, and my knowledge of my machine always
prevailed.

Oh there's no comparison to todays supercharged bikes, but back in
it's day NOTHING could touch me.

Yeah, but in 1973 Cycle World could get a 1/4 mile time of 14.2 out of
the RD350. Wiseco pistons and a few port/reed mods aren't going to get
it down to 10 flat.
