/Which/ weather people? With the wonders of the Internet I can usually
get two or three completely different forecasts for any given time and
place. Between them all there's usually an element or truth, up to a
point...

of crisper days to come as I wandered into work via 20 mins at the
allotment.

Still blue sky but a little bit windier now.

Yesterday was very windy (F5+) and driving rain in my face on the way
home so almost anything is an improvement on that.

All weather forecasters should be fired, and the met office closed. The
last one out of the building should record the following:-

"It will be changeable again. Any showers could be heavy and prolonged,
but equally there could be brighter spells between any showers; it will
feel warmer during any bright or sunny spells. Winds may be moderate or
fresh at times. It will be mild."

and send the recording to all media for daily use thereafter. My betting
is, 80% of the time it'll be at least as accurate and relevant to people
as the current $h*t they peddle.

I'm in Sudbury, Suffolk, not a million miles from you, and it is wall to
wall sunshine here, albeit a little windy.

Too complicated. All you need to say is "Today will be the same as
yesterday" and you will be right more often than the Met Office.

Met Office. BAH! Yes, I know I should know better than to think the TV
weather forecast is anywhere near remotely accurate ;-)

Strange... everything all other government departments tell me is always
100% correct... ;-)

(And don't forget, met office is part of "Defence" (surely an early
example of PC speak... )

Smashing day here, very slight headwind outwards, It sisn't /quite/ reverse
on the way back (4mph faster). It was such a nice morning I completely ran
out of excuses not to use the bike.
