How exactly do Steroids improve wave riding skills?

They make you look more muscular to the chicks. Steroid
use is not uncommon at all in cosmetic applications. I
wouldn't assume at all that it was for some performance
advantage. The article says it was about recovery from a back
injury.Bob Schwartz

Well, you can accumulate more points by catching more waves in a heat.
But you still have to ride them well. I just don't see paddling faster
to be a significant factor in catching more waves. -
Perhaps it is the race for advertising endorsements and contracts. Need
those pecs and abs to advertise surfwear in the magazines.<[email hidden]> wrote in message

strength to do. Especially at a high level with all the moves.
Steroids help with that.Pretty much any "sport" that requires strength is likely to be visited
by steroids.Barney J. Reed was banned from sanctioned Table Tennis events for 2
years due to testing positive for steroids.Your attitudes about surfing remind me of the people who say pro
cyclists aren't athletes. -

The "sometimes" makes that the nicest thing anyone has said about rbr
as a group. On an individual basis there are some fixations going on.Curtis L. Russell

Wait a damn minute, Mr. Spicoli. No need to be insulting...(dude).
I dont see how making a "move" is enhanced by Steroids. I realize that
surfing is physical. I even think it's a valid sport. I just don't
see any real benefit delivered by steroids. If he said he was taking them to help him get chicks to go home with
him at night, I'd believe that faster than I'd believe he was taking
them to help further his actual surfing career. Perhaps they are one
and the same though ;-) -
what part of 'recovery from a back injury' didn't you understand?

Welcome to RBR, dumbass. Sit down, shut up and hold on.

never surfed. You've never seen what surfers have to do in
competition.D

Thanks dumbass...I've been here since 1993, so I know the ropes.
I read it. I have surfed (and do)...and yes, I even know that Swamis
is more than just a bike ride and place where new-agers assemble to eat
vegetarian meals.I have never watched a surf contest live, but have been bored by them
on TV.Back injury: [censored]. Inured back? Perhaps. Self diagnosed medical
treatment? [censored].The brutha wants to score some chicks. Fine with me. If he wants his
nuts to shrivel up, that's his own business. -
