I just bought new 105 brifters (ST-5510) for my cross bike and want to use my existing Flight Deck computer head (SC_6501 - 9-Speed). I am setting up my cross bike with 9-speed 105, so I think it'll work, but I want to make sure. The 105 levers have a button on each hood, just like my Dura-Ace levers, so I think it should work the same. Does anyone know if the harness SM-6500 RS is the correct one for this combination? I researched the Shimano site, but must admit it was a little confusing. I'm looking for some confirmation from someone before I buy the harness.

The wiring harness for Ultegra 9-speed (1-button/lever, not the older version where both buttons were on one side) and '105 are the same. The 6501 head will work fine as well. Neither will work on a 10-speed unit though.
