  1. I have a Trek 2200 with a 105 front derailleur which is bent. I want to replace it with at least an Ultegra level part. I have 2 questions....

    1. Can I swap out the main part of the derailleur from one with a different clamp size???

    2. Does anyone know the clamp size of the 2200?? It measured 35mm, but that doesn't match up with any sizes listed in catalogs..

    Thanks...

35mm is the same as 34.9 as far as clamp sizes go. Shimano did not offer a 34.9 true clamp type in 9 speed ,so what you have is a braze of FD with an adapter clamp. Just remove the old FD and attach a new braze on type to the clamp.
