Try Formula 1 racing. Was the race won by Schumacher or Barrichello, or by Ferrari, Williams, etc? I'd say that's about 50/50 for remarks, and that mainly because lately the F1 has been *so* regulated that all cars are more or less the same to a casual lay person.
I would think you would get French workmanship from Montreal based Guru. You would have to get a Marinoni to get Italian craftsmanship.

You completely missed the point of my remark. Montreal is in Quebec. Quebec is the French province of Canada. They have voted on breaking away from Canada a few times and forming their own French country. French is the number one language in Quebec, and Montreal. They have laws saying every sign must be in French. One would logically expect to have French workmanship in a part of the world that is only slighltly less French than France itself. Actually Quebec might be more French than France.
Why did you associate quality of workmanship to a country name?
