The article says that obese workers average about 2 more days a year
out of work and may cost companies $450 to $2,500 a year in medical
    expenses and work absences.

You guys and gals who are obese (and you know who you are) need to talk
to your principal care physicians about seeing a nutritionist. Some
things they may tell you to do is to quit smoking cigarettes, which
make you voracious and make it less palatable to exercise, and to
modify your diet to cut down on all those empty carbs like beer and
    starches.

Don't do it for me! Do it for your own good, the good of your
employers and co-workers (who have to cover for you when you are out of
work) and the good of the United States.

posted to rec.autos.sport.nascar because there are a lot of fat ugly
rednecks in that group that drink A LOT of beer and are need of change.
In their attitudes as well as their diets.

the other groups are on a "needs to know" basis.

  2. Before I retired I hardly ever took a sick day, I retired with enough
accrued sick leave to add about a half a year to my time in service for
    computing my pension.

  3. Just wondering who made you the Paul Revere of the obesity notification
process for this country? And what it is in your personality that makes you
think you MUST go and take time to post this to all of these disparate
newsgroups. If somebody is overweight, they know it. And, you know that is a
fact. So, why did you take time out of your day to post this stuff? Perhaps
it is you who needs to see a psychiatrist to find out why you have a
compulsion to do this sort of thing.

This is one more reason that the Raleigh News & Observer is considered
    a low class rag sheet.

    Shut up, fatass.

  7. I think Pat was talking to the OP, who was posting the report to
numerous groups. I suppose that could be interpreted as "Paul
    Revering".

  8. So what part of the article do you disagree with [censored]? Or are you
saying that the article is too subjective (and, ergo, not objective
    enough)?

I was talking to the guy who took so much time to write that insulting
tirade and then posted it to all of those different newsgroups.

FYI, if a lot of people have the OP in their kf or some servers delete
excessively crossposted [censored], many may not have any idea what you have
    referred to.
