What else can I offer? Um...Mercury Program, Faraquet, Lake Trout, Orbital makes for good XC riding
music, Snapcase makes for good throw-yourself-off-stuff music.

Hee. Judas Priest too. One of the appealing things about the Donnas is that they tend to incense
overly-serious punk aficionados. (Not that I would ever call the Donnas actually punk. More like

"Turn 21" is in the CD player of my truck right now. I find them quite enjoyable, a stylish mix
of The Ramones (lyrical content) and ACDC (guitar riffs). Chicks rock. I wonder if they are
mountain bikers?

They aren't bad. I've been listening to Taproot a bit lately and I like their stuff when in the mood
for rockin. Others in recent rotation:

Plastilina Mosh - Mexico City funk produced by Money Mark Pest - UK band. Lots of samples, funky
hard-to-categorize. RJD2 - Samples and turntables. New school, baby! Radiohead - Still good. Been
back into OK Computer lately. Great again after it got a much-needed rest. Medeski Martin & Wood -
Always going in a different direction. Keepin' it fresh. Fishbone - been digging through some older
CDs lately. They still sound great (the ska and the metal styles) Joseph Arthur - nice chillin'
music. Kind of folky. Skerik's Syncopated Taint Septet - great new solo release form the mad
scientist of Sax. Sounds a lot like Monk Octet, but with more of an edge.

I agree on the Lake Trout comment. Those guys play a great live cover of War Pigs! Speaking of which
I broke out Paranoid (Black Sabbath) the other day - it's still great (except for the production).

Haven't been into the Dead in quite a few years. It just god old and tired (and in the way?) for me.
