Recently I had a discussion with some fellow cyclists on how much gas
would have to be, before the general public climbed on bikes. Our consensus
was $40 / gallon, so we have a way to go yet. First they would get smaller
cars, then motorcycles, then scooters, and finally mopeds. If they begun
rationing gas, then of course they would be forced on bikes, very quickly.

Don't stop... keep going and you'll get to the end eventually. Real
energy costs for cars are huge... and then there are all the other
costs.

It takes 9-11 lbs of grain to produce one lb of beef. There is a
ridiculous amount of transportation embedded in 1 lb of beef. eat low
on the food chain and live. 'nuff said.
