Does anybody come across any independent verification of this?
The typical spew from the Mirror is anti-American garbage. So before we all call our congresscritters and raise hell, it would seem prudent to get some form of verification...

I don't think it serves any purpose to discuss it here. Maybe contact senators, reps, etc. to have them cut through it.
Take it from me, one of the locals - the Mirror is little more than a comic. The story *could* be true, but on the other hand I wouldn't be the slightest bit surprised if it turns out to be complete BS...
