Looking for spokes

Take the straight gauge. It'll probably be ok.

You should stress relieve the spokes to stop them breaking. The best way I've found to do this is
with a something like the handle of a hammer. Put it above the crossing of each pair of spokes and
twist the inner out against the outer not using too much force. Do this all round and your spokes
will hardly ever break.

can put in a straight gauge in black .The Question is do I take the straight gauge and deal with it

The one straight gauge spokewill make little difference but I rec. using a silver, matching one,
instead of a black non-matching one. Your wheel is 'ill' and using a silver one will help you to see

There is nothing wrong with the rim .I had the bike hanging next to my daughters bike and her pedal
was stuck in it .I didn't notice it and took my bike down then heard a twinge.and I broke the spoke.

You can order spokes like this for maybe $12 for 20, more or less, from any good on-line shop. If
there are only two bike shops within 20 miles it would be a more viable option.

Of course, a single straight-gauge spoke probably won't matter all that much, but the wheel would
probably last longer with all the spokes the same.

The real question is why you broke the spoke. The wheel was probably not built properly, and (again
given your isolation if nothing else) it is a good idea to learn how to build your own wheels. There
is a book I've heard tell about once or twice.... or Sheldon Brown's website.
