Me, another guy, some other guys, all on bikes... oh ok..

Myself, Ess, Daveb, Blah, Gags!, Jazmo and umm Anna?.. damn I'm bad with
    names, my apologies.

Report - My legs were soggy after a few good kms the day before at a secret
location.. I was looking to take it easy up Kangaroo Ground climb.. Ess and
Jazmo came past, with Ess asking me to pick it up a little.. my reply was
"no, I am exhausted" (though, I dont think I used those exact terms) 😉..
I kept on Ess' and Jazmo's wheel and started to feel a little better. Jazmo
started to pull away, which I had to chase down.. then I was on full gas to
the rock.. 12:52 which wasnt bad all things considered.

Small rest then up past the water tower.. my plan was to take it easy (hah!)
to Clintons Rd so I could sus out some timing points and post a time... Ess
went off the front on the downhill.. I watched him go from Jazmo's wheel..
then had to chase him down.. a few 100m later Blah comes flying past us
both... lesson learned.. let the little guys go on the downhills and wait
    for someone's wheel 🙂

Blah and Ess went on ahead while I dropped off the pace saving my pennies
for Clintons Rd.. timing points sorted and lap counter started (love the
polar), off up the climb.. passing Blah and seeing Ess up ahead he made
comment about catching Ess.. "yeah, I've got him" was the reply not lacking
in confidence.. argh.. Ess spots me a little later and for sure he knew I
was on for the chase.. though the hairpin and along a little more I had
him.. though the finishing point and I was off the gas.. Ess comes past and
takes off... arh bugger it.. time for a rest... Next time Ess its all out to
the Smiths Gully store, we'll have to watch those horse floats though..

We say hell to (the future) Mrs Jaywoo at the store, who I am guessing is
what, 16!? 😉.. and munch on.. Daveb and Anna make their early move for the
TT.. while the rest of us sit back and warm up.. pace is on.. Blah puts the
hammer down with Gags and the rest of us in tow.. three of us left at the
stopping point, this will be bloody hard section of road to for a solo break
    away.. more planning required..

At the waiting point, Daveb comes in on the back of two tri guys... off we
go.. Up the Diamond Creak rd climb I spot the tri guys again, target
locked.. and pass them without much of a worry.. held up by the lights
(again).. hammer down and I was passed by one of these tri guys, grab his
wheel, he isnt getting away... kept on him for the quick downhill after the
roundabout. as it flattens out, Blah shoots by.. for once we see a green
light! more hammer time and I take the sprint to the line.. I think the
tri'ers turned off but they got owned in that sprint either way! 😉

Backstreet routing to the quick decent past the army place.. sucking Ess'
wheel until the final sprint for the green light..

Burgundy St.. only Jaz, Anna, Blah, Ess and myself left at this point..
this was almost a neutral stage climb, I was waiting for someone to jump..
not much movement.. Jaz gave a little bit of a kick which I followed.. then
with some quick time/energy calculations I was out and around for the KOM
    jersey...

Down though Ivanhoe to the boulie, hmm crossing the bridge was fun. We had
traffic zooting around us over the double white lines with oncoming
traffic.. screw this, I stuck out my hand and sat in the middle of the road
to stop other drivers from killing themselves to save 5 seconds.. I turn
around to see the passenger going off their nut and the driver not even
batting an eyelid.. great work passenger seat driver, thank god you didnt
    have the wheel...

One lap of the boulie and we were calling it a day.. Blah and I spot some
other roadies up a head and decide to chase them down... We were thinking
they might not be good climbers, but we were wrong.. they were bad
descenders, catching them before the road even turned upwards.. argh.. we
continued along keeping an eye on them in case they were bluffing.. I give a
final few 100m kick to the top to make sure these guys didnt claim the win..

Sun came out and Blah, Ess and I had a nice warmdown chat.. all up a good
    days racing!..

    A few observations:

    - I'll chase down anything that moves.
    - A big cheers to the BR group for not having any 'ego' members who get all
narky and ticked off when there is a ba#$rd like me on your heels or busting
a gut to chase you down.
    - If there was another GPL in the group, I'd kick his ass for being a [censored]
    - Higher grading does make you become a [censored]! 🙂
    - Ess making me pay for my climb/chase up Clintons... these are racin' words
    you realise! 😉

Oh, Clintons Rd is now up on cycle2max... be sure to note the start/ending
    points and post some times..

news just in.. bike frame war is taking place with another BR member - no
time to proof read this post - going into battle mode! 😉

    cheers,
    GPL

    You mispleed "p0wned".

Also: Because tri's present such a hard challenge, don't they? Hey,
we didn't spill the beans on how you chased down that commuter the
    other day, did we?

URL for the time? I haven't yet worked out how to use cycle2max. And
    their "search" feature is b0rked.

Just dont use it in Firefox, else it looks like someone spewed up HTML
tables all over it.. the link/time is still on the font page..

I wanted to ride my own tempo up that climb, so I was hoping you'd pull away. I'll be riding that pretty hard each week, I want to get back to sub 13 for starters, 13.10 this week.
