I had scoliosis as a teenager. 2 curves. Not severe but it was causing some nerve impingements (sp?).
A chiropractor fixed it with 2 years of manipulative therapy. My spine is still straight 27 years later. :-)
I'm a big believer in chiropractic therapy.
This surgical cure where they cut your back open, stick a rigid rod up your spine and bolt it to it is for the birds! <shiver> TBR
"As democracy is perfected, the office of president represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron." H.L. Mencken (1880 - 1956) "Anyone with degrees from Yale and Harvard is presumed to be intelligent, but George W. Bush has managed to overcome that presumption."
Perhaps they can remove the one that's shoved up your ass?
That's a salami, not a steel rod. TBR

I used to work in a steel mill. One day an older co-worker who had had back surgery and was still having back problems was talking to me. He said something to the effect, "If the back pain gets so bad that you go to the kitchen drawer, take out a knife and consider using it on yourself, ONLY THEN consider back surgery." Whenever I hear someone say they are contemplating back surgery I think of what he told me.
