Does anyone have an incling as to whether herbs should be taken with or without food. It seems that I read one or the other somewhere but now I can't remember which. Cheerio, Mike

i often have herbs with my food. fresh basil with chilli, garlic and olive oil is very nice. can't imagine eating the basil by itself, wouldn't be much of a meal!

I guess I need to make myself a bit more clear. I am not referring to herbs such as cuisine ingredients but herbs as having medicinal values. Such as ginseng or valerian etc. Mike😉

My father in law is a Chinese doctor, whenever we drink herb medicine we usualy do it by it self. I know when you take homopathic medicines you dont take with food or water 20 min before or 20 min after. I think this would be true for herbs as well.

I talked to my father in law tonight and asked him. He said you should take atleast 1 hour before a meal or 2 hours after, he also said you shouldnt drink tea or eat turnip while taking herbs because it washes out the effects of the herb. What herbs are you taking? I just had a special batch made to help with performance.

I have been taking ginseng with spirulina added for about 7 months time. I have read it takes a good amount of time to get the full spectrum of benefits from this herb.🙂
