Confirmed! 11/5 - 11/9 is my conference (Wild Horse Pass) and I'll probably move to my SIL's (DT Scottsdale) place for a couple of days following. I'm sending the pig bike (Id) this year. Definately want to hit Sedona again, among other things.

You'll be close to South Mountain Park so I suggest at least one day there. Then after you go to the SIL's shoot for McDowell Mtn Park. As for Sedona.........?
I'd recommend the Racer-x for everything. Lighter and all around better bike.

I thought about the R-X, but the extra travel would be nice in Sedona. Heck, the Ellsworth is still lighter than that K2 monster I rented last year with the screwed up cable routing.

I send you a email as it gets closer
Extra travel = harder to pedal/more energy spent, especially at altitude (yes, Sedona is at altitude) IMO.

Look forward to the rides.
No it's not 🙂
Well _low_ altitude, maybe.
Compared to where Mitch is coming from (just above sea level), Sedona is at altitude albeit moderate, still enough gain to cause one to breath much harder than at sea level.
Gary (understanding that the Gspot and Durango areas are the definition of Altitude!)

Hey, I'm at 150' above sea level!!! Saturday I'm going to Jim Thorpe (Class III dam release on the Lehigh for kayaking) where I'll be at 1100'! I better watch out for a Pulmonary Embolism. 😉

that's not even up to where my current house in Phoenix sits (~1700'😉 then there's Shaw Butte with a summit some 550' higher right next door.

Don't get Matt started, I don't think he can see down to 7K from his neighborhood. Me, I can see to 6.5K, but only if I strain my neck.
