  1. Hi all!

I've been lurking for, well, about an hour and I've decided to post to say hello. I post either as
this or "Sprite" depending which computer I'm using!

I've recently started cycling a lot more, in addition to cycling to school (A Level results next
week! Oo-er!), probably a result of the good weather, but I love it too. Impressed to find my heart
    rate has also gone down!

    Just saying hi :-)

Welcome! May I recommend chapmancentral.comurc regulars as an
introduction to a few of the regulars here.

Happy cycling and good luck with your results!

Love and newbies from Rich x

God -- don't frighten her off too quickly.

More seriously -- welcome. Good luck with the A levels.

Also seriously, Guy -- how about updating your 'regulars' page with some of the newer guys & gals?

Just started reading through - it'll take me a while :-)

I'm trying to remember exactly what my first bike was - it was a little red thing, a Raleigh... I'll
try and find a picture hehe. Then I had an Emmelle BMX, followed by a Raleigh Camaro or something?
British Eagle "Atlanta" - I rode it for the last time not two hours ago, and I'm picking up a new
bike tomorrow morning... a Raleigh Devotion. I'm not a particularly 'girly' girl and it suits me
down to a tee! Super-light frame... nice and useful for me, I use my bike to make train journeys
easier and there are lots of stairs involved... 😉

Presumably by cycling instead of taking the train? Who could blame you in the current climate
    (pun inteded!)

Well if I am to confess it's a bit of both! 😉 I live in an annoying place... my station is a good
ol' walk, but it's great for London as the line is pretty speedy into Waterloo. Though I'm well
connected for 'my' area, my friends all live in a different area of the suburbs, still close but
on parallel train lines I suppose...and so much changing of trains is involved! I usually cycle a
few miles to another station on another line, that way I just need to take 1 train for a few
stops. Cycling all the way would be killer - as soon as I get to my destination we tend to play
    football all day!

But don't get too mad too quickly, I go out on an hourly cycle or so (nearly) every night. Even
    yesterday 😉

Mad? me? I'd be a fine one to talk - I commute a massive 3.5 miles each way daily. Although I've
been off worj this week, so I've covered about 70 miles so far.

There are far more round here that are "hardcore" than I.

The drink :-) I'm a good girl - no alcohol for me, though with a few friends I have been known to
take advantage of the "bottomless soft drinks" at Nando's!!!

I just chucked my British Eagle to the back of the garage. It was a struggle and I managed to get
myself stuck between it and the wall *ahem*. New toy tomorrow 😄

do resits and whatnot should the need arise! :-)

Hello Sue, from Nick in Surrey ...

Wednesday was a day off for me. It was just so hot, and I decided a quick Pimms or two was in order
.. a quick BBQ down by the river was the other thing, although bike was used there quickly ....
