10 places for $2,500, and only 7 pro finishers (from less than 10 starters)?
Come on, what a bunch of lightweights! The 64 laps that Wholberg and Walker
did was only 160 miles, with maybe 20kft of climbing. In other words, a
typical training day for those two.

  2. Less then 10 racers. Not a race. Benifit ride for the 7 finishers.

Could be a pre-WWI Tour de France stage.

Lots of people hang up the road bike for the season after our big race
on Labor Day. We had 611 riders at that race with 120 in the 1/2/Pro
event. None of the road events at Cougar Mt hadlarge fields. I think
the largest field was around 30 riders and it was a 35+ 4/5 field I
    believe.
