10 places for $2,500, and only 7 pro finishers (from less than 10 starters)? Come on, what a bunch of lightweights! The 64 laps that Wholberg and Walker did was only 160 miles, with maybe 20kft of climbing. In other words, a typical training day for those two.

Lots of people hang up the road bike for the season after our big race on Labor Day. We had 611 riders at that race with 120 in the 1/2/Pro event. None of the road events at Cougar Mt hadlarge fields. I think the largest field was around 30 riders and it was a 35+ 4/5 field I believe.
